AI SEO for dentists
Clear practice details, wherever patients look
WTM Studio offers AI search optimization for dental practices and groups nationwide, as part of SEO. The work starts with clear treatment pages, accurate office details and a way to measure patient inquiries. We quote each project and can work on your current site.
SEO is quoted per project and works on your current site.
Who does AI SEO for dentists?
WTM Studio does AI SEO for dentists nationwide, from single practices to DSOs. It is part of SEO, quoted per project, and available on any website, including sites another company built. The focus is clear practice information, accurate listings and patient inquiries. Dental marketing agencies, your current website platform and work done in house are also options to consider.
Start by asking what needs to change. A proposal should name the treatment pages, office details and directory profiles it covers. Compare that work with what your current provider already includes before paying for another service.
What does AI SEO for a dental practice involve?
It is mostly SEO done carefully, with attention to the facts a patient needs when choosing a dentist. Use this list to review a proposed scope:
- Treatment and location pages. State in visible text what you treat, where you treat it, which insurance you accept and how to book. Ask the practice to check those details.
- Structured data. Match the markup to the text patients can read. Google's AI search guidance says no special AI files or markup are needed.
- Google Business Profile. Keep office details current. Google includes this in its guidance for AI features.
- Directory profiles and reviews. Check listings against the practice site and include reviews in the scope. Do not treat a review total as a promise of an AI mention.
- Patient inquiries. Plan how to measure calls, forms and bookings before judging the work.
Our guide to AI SEO and traditional SEO explains how the work overlaps.
Do Healthgrades and Zocdoc matter?
They are worth checking, but the dental research has a narrow scope. Nimza, which sells AI visibility services, counted 7,336 citations across four engines, 615 cities and 31 trades, with answers dated September 15 to October 19, 2026. Phoenix was the only dentist city in its sample. Every ChatGPT dentist citation there was Healthgrades. A practice with 1,802 Google reviews that was absent from Healthgrades was not cited by ChatGPT. Zocdoc was among the most cited dentist sites in that city. These are findings from Nimza's October 2026 study, not a rule for dentists nationwide.
Yext, which sells listings and AI visibility software, also lists Healthgrades among its most cited third-party domains. Its study covered 155.5 million citations across 1,623 brands and four AI models, using location-grounded questions in Q1 2026, January to March. That is broader research, not a dentist-only sample. See Yext's citation study.
Check whether your Healthgrades and Zocdoc listings exist and match your site. Correct errors before treating either listing as finished. Our guide to sites AI reads for practices adds context.
What should a dental group check at each office?
Each location needs an accurate page and profile. Review its address, phone, services, insurance details and booking path against that office's actual information. Do not assume that a group-wide statement applies to every clinic.
Ask an office contact to review the details before changes go live. Make the location clear when a patient moves from a treatment page to booking. For groups deciding how to organize their sites, see websites for DSOs. Keep the local facts specific even when offices share a brand.
How should you measure the work?
Track calls, forms and bookings alongside the pages changed. Keep a record of the work so you can review inquiries against it. Ask reports to distinguish a patient inquiry from a citation or mention, and avoid assigning an inquiry to AI search without evidence.
Google says traffic from AI Overviews and AI Mode is included in Search Console's Performance report under the Web search type. Do not label the entire report as AI traffic.
Agree what counts as a useful inquiry for your practice. Review whether people are asking for care you provide and reaching the intended office. Keep those questions in view when discussing search reports.
Should you hire someone or handle the basics in house?
Choose based on the work your team can maintain. Ask your dental marketing agency or current website platform what it already covers. If staff can review office details and request listing corrections, those are reasonable tasks to handle in house.
For outside help, request a scope that names the pages and profiles to review, who approves changes and how inquiries will be measured. Compare those details across proposals. Read how dental SEO is quoted before treating the service name as a price or package.
How WTM handles it
WTM offers SEO including AI search work on existing sites, with a quote for each project. Pearl Dental Care is a dental client. Dental paid ads are referred out.
For booking pages, WTM connects Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Calendly or its own booking system. WTM builds dental websites to WCAG 2.2 AA, puts that in writing and signs BAAs when a practice needs one.
The written SEO guarantee provides a full refund if the work brings no new patients or leads within 180 days of the first SEO changes going live. A lead is a contact form, phone call or booking that comes from the website. It does not promise rankings or AI recommendations. Read the full guarantee.
Send your current site and office details to discuss the work.
Fair questions, straight answers
Who does AI SEO for dentists?
WTM Studio serves dental offices and groups across the country through its SEO service. Each engagement has a project quote, and the work is available even when another company built your site.
What does AI SEO for a dental practice involve?
Expect a scope covering treatment information, office pages, matching structured data, profiles, reviews and inquiry measurement. Ask which specific gaps the proposed work will address.
Does my practice need Healthgrades or Zocdoc profiles for AI search?
Check for accurate profiles on both, but do not treat a listing as a requirement that guarantees a recommendation. The research discussed above gives a reason to review them, not a promise for your practice.
Do we need a new website for AI SEO?
No, WTM can carry out SEO on a site it did not build. If a new site is needed, WTM websites cost $6,000 to $30,000 as a one-time project, as of October 2026; for enterprise websites, contact us for a quote.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend our practice?
No, a ChatGPT recommendation is not a promised outcome. WTM's refund terms concern new patients or leads from the website, rather than placement in an AI answer.
Do you do AI SEO for DSOs with many locations?
Yes, WTM works with DSOs nationwide. Include each office's page, profile and booking details when discussing the project.
Does Google require a special AI file?
No, Google's guidance says its AI features do not require new AI text files or special markup. Ask what a proposed file is meant to achieve before adding it to the scope.
Is there a published monthly AI SEO fee?
WTM has no published SEO price or monthly fee. Ask for a project quote based on your current site and the work needed.
